Ad rejection happens to the best of us!
First, log into your ad platform (like Facebook Ads Manager or Google Ads) and read the notification carefully. It’ll tell you what went wrong, whether it’s the copy, visuals, landing page, or targeting.
Go to the platform’s advertising guidelines (yes, it’s a bit of a read, but it’s worth it). Look for specific rules about prohibited content, misleading claims, or excessive text in visuals.
Now comes the main part - making things right!
Ad Copy Issues? Simplify your wording, avoid bold claims, and stick to the truth.
Visual Problems? Reduce text in images or replace anything that might be against the rules.
Landing Page Mismatch? Ensure your page matches the promise in your ad and is mobile-friendly.
Once you’ve made your changes, go back to your Ads Manager. Edit the rejected ad and hit Submit for Review. Now, sit back and wait - the platform usually takes 24 - 48 hours to get back to you.
Still think your ad was unfairly rejected? Use the Request Review or Appeal button. Write a polite explanation of why your ad complies with the rules, and the team will take another look.
Before submitting your next ad, run it through tools like Facebook’s Text Overlay Checker or Google’s Policy Manager. It’ll save you from the rejection headache next time!
