Becoming a Microsoft 365 reseller is a pretty straightforward process, but there are a few key steps to get started. First, you need to join the Microsoft Partner Network (MPN). This is free to join and gives you access to essential resources, training, and support to build your business. Once you’re in, the next step is to enroll in the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program. Here, you’ll decide whether you want to be a Direct CSP (handling billing and support yourself) or an Indirect CSP (working through a distributor who helps with those things).
If you go the Indirect CSP route, you’ll need to partner with a trusted indirect provider (also called a distributor). They handle the backend stuff, so you can focus on sales and service. Finally, you’ll set up access to the Partner Center, a portal where you can manage customer accounts, assign licenses, and track subscriptions. And that’s it—you’re ready to resell!
