Meta is rolling out (or testing) an option to disable autofill for email and phone number fields in Instant Forms. This means users filling out a form won’t have those fields automatically pre-filled with data from their Facebook profiles - they must enter them manually.
Autofill often increases the number of form submissions because it reduces friction. However, it can also lead to low-quality leads because many users don’t update their contact info on Facebook.
By turning off autofill, you encourage users to manually enter their current details, which may lead to higher-quality, more accurate leads, even if the total volume drops.
