If your engagement ads have been active for 48 hours but still aren’t spending or getting impressions, it usually points to a delivery issue in your campaign setup. Even though the ads show as “active,” Meta won’t serve them unless key conditions are met.
Start by checking your audience size—if it’s too narrow, especially in retargeting, Meta may not have enough data to deliver the ads.
Also, review your placements; overly restricted or incompatible placements can block delivery. Make sure your creative fits the selected placements and follows Meta’s ad specs. If you’re using manual bidding, your bid may be too low—try switching to automatic bidding.
Another common fix is to duplicate the ad into a new ad set or campaign, which can often reset the delivery system and get things moving. Lastly, ensure your daily budget is sufficient (generally at least $5–$10) to exit the learning phase and trigger impressions.
