I've been running an ad for my perfume brand. It's been over a week, but the ad isn't performing well. I had to stop a previous ad for the same reason. In this current ad, I've set a 7K PkR daily budget and it's a CBO (Campaign Budget Optimization) campaign. There’s one ad set with 7 different ads and 7 different creatives. And I used broad audience Please suggest what I should do.

If your ad isn’t performing after a week—even with a CBO setup, multiple creatives, and a broad audience—it likely means Meta’s algorithm doesn’t have strong enough signals to optimize properly. Here's what to do:

What You Should Do to Fix It:

1. Break the CBO into ABO (Ad Set Budget Optimization)

 CBO + only one ad set limits control. Switch to ABO and create 2–3 ad sets targeting different interest groups like “luxury beauty,” “fragrance lovers,” or “gift buyers.”

2. Refresh Your Creatives With a Strong Hook

 Perfume is hard to sell online—it’s all about emotion and identity. Make sure your creative starts with a strong visual hook or storytelling angle (e.g., “The scent that turns heads”).

3. Don’t Go Fully Broad Yet

 Broad targeting can burn budget fast if the creative isn’t hyper-relevant. Add layered interests to guide the algorithm (especially in early stages).

4. Check Metrics Beyond Sales

 Look at CTR, CPC, and Add-to-Cart before killing the campaign. Low CTR = weak ad copy 

or creative. Low conversions = weak product page or offer.

5. Retarget Engagement or Run a PPE Campaign First

 Warm up your audience with a Post Engagement campaign, then retarget those users with your sales ad.
