I have one of my first clients' Facebook ads just about ready to launch. Can anyone help guide me as to how I can assign my client to the Facebook page I created for him? He wants to input his payment info.

To assign your client to the Facebook Page you created for them (so they can manage it and input their own payment info), you’ll want to follow these steps using Meta Business Manager. This ensures clean ownership and billing control.

Step-by-Step: Assign Your Client to the Facebook Page

1. Add Your Client to the Business Manager

If you created the page under your own Business Manager:

  • Go to business.facebook.com

  • Select your Business Manager account

  • Navigate to Settings > People

  • Click “Add”, enter your client’s email

  • Assign them a role (e.g., Admin if they need full control)

  • Under Assets, assign them access to the Page

2. Transfer or Share Page Access

If the goal is for the client to own the Page:

  • Go to Settings > Business Settings > Accounts > Pages

  • Select the Page > Click “Assign Partner” (use the client’s Business Manager ID if they have one)

    If they don’t have a Business Manager, you can make them a Page Admin directly via the Facebook Page Settings > Page Roles section.

To Let the Client Add Payment Info:

  1. Client Must Be Admin in Business Manager

    • They must have Admin access to the ad account to add payment methods.

  2. Create a New Ad Account (if needed)
