“High Performing” labels in Facebook Ads (a.k.a. the ad performance rating badges) are definitely nice to see… but they’re not super common unless certain conditions are met.
So how often do you see them?
Most advertisers don’t see the “High Performing” badge too frequently—it usually shows up when an ad performs significantly better than others in the same ad set or campaign, based on key metrics like:
Click-through rate (CTR)
Conversion rate
Cost per result
Engagement rate
If you're constantly testing creatives and you regularly rotate in new variations, you might see that label a few times per month. But if you're running fewer ads or don't test often, you might never see it.
A few things to keep in mind:
Facebook compares your ad to your other ads, not globally.
The “High Performing” label is directional, not definitive—use it as a signal, but don’t obsess over it.
Sometimes you’ll have an ad that clearly outperforms others, and Facebook still won’t show the label—it’s not always consistent.
If you're seeing “High Performing” once in a while, you're on the right track with creative testing. If you're never seeing it, try testing more visuals, headlines, or formats. It’s less about chasing the label, and more about building performance patterns Facebook rewards.
