Advertiser Verification - they keep asking me to verify every few months. This is the third time now - I submit my info, and they say its approved and verified... a few months later they ask to verify again. What is going on?

This recurring advertiser verification loop is something many advertisers are running into lately, especially after Meta tightened policies around transparency, political content, social issues, and business authenticity.

Here’s what’s likely going on and what you can do about it:

Why Meta keeps asking you to verify again:

  1. Rolling verification policy
Meta sometimes does periodic reviews of accounts — even ones that were previously verified — to ensure everything is still valid. It’s more common if:

    • Your business name changed

    • You’ve added new ad accounts

    • You’ve run sensitive content (finance, health, politics, housing, etc.)

  2. Multiple connected assets or accounts
If you manage multiple ad accounts or Business Managers, Meta may request verification again, even if it's already done for one.

  3. Mismatch in business info or identity
Even small inconsistencies (like different phone numbers, domains, or legal names on your business profile vs. verification docs) can trigger re-verification.

  4. You ran “special category” ads.
Running ads in sensitive categories (like employment, housing, or credit) often triggers stricter verification timelines, including repeat requests.

What you can do:

  1. Double-check your Business Info:

    • Go to Business Settings → Business Info

    • Ensure your business name, website, address, and legal entity name match what’s on your official documents

  2. Complete Domain Verification (if not already done)

    • Meta sometimes ties verification to domain ownership

    • Set this up via Business Settings → Brand Safety → Domains

  3. Limit switching ad accounts or page ownership

    • Frequent changes can confuse the system and trigger flags

  4. Keep a backup of previous approvals

    • Screenshots or email confirmations from Meta help if you need to escalate

Pro Tip: Use Meta Support Chat

If this is your third time and nothing has changed, go to: https://business.facebook.com/business/help

Select any ad account → Pick "Something Else" until Chat with a Rep appears
Tell them this is your third round of verification with no change in business status, and ask if your account is being flagged incorrectly.

If you're stuck in a loop of constant Google Ads verification requests, here are a few more proactive steps you can consider:

  • Check Your Account Type:

    • Go to your Google Ads payments profile (Billing & Payments -> Settings).

    • Confirm if your "Account type" is set to "Individual" or "Organization."

    • Crucially: If your actual business structure doesn't match this (e.g., you're a registered company but it says "Individual"), this mismatch can cause recurring issues. You'll need to contact Google Ads Support to get this corrected before attempting verification again. Changing the account type yourself isn't usually an option through the interface.

  • Audit Your Ad Practices & Landing Pages:

    • Google often triggers re-verification if they suspect policy violations, even minor ones.

    • Review your ads and landing pages thoroughly. Are all claims verifiable? Is your business name/logo prominently displayed on your landing page as per recent policies? Is all contact information clear and easily found?

    • Industries prone to scams (e.g., finance, healthcare, specific services) face higher scrutiny. Ensure absolute transparency and compliance if you're in one of these.

Seek "Advanced Verification" (if applicable/offered):

  • In some cases, Google might offer or require "Advanced Verification," which can involve more detailed documentation (like business licenses, operating procedures) or even a video call. If this option appears, completing it might lead to a more stable verification status, as it provides Google with a deeper understanding of your operations.

  • This is usually for specific cases or industries, so it may not be available to everyone.

Directly Contact Google Ads Support (with persistence!):

  • While mentioned before, it's worth re-emphasizing the importance of direct contact.

  • Be prepared with details: Account ID, dates of previous verifications, what documents you submitted, and the exact messages you're receiving.

  • Explain the recurring nature: Emphasize that you've been approved multiple times, but the request keeps coming back. Ask them to investigate if there's a specific flag on your account or a persistent mismatch they can identify internally. Sometimes, getting a dedicated specialist can help resolve underlying issues.

Consider a Google Partner Agency:

  • If you're completely stuck and it's severely impacting your business, working with a certified Google Partner agency might be an option. They often have direct lines of communication and experience navigating complex verification issues for clients. (This is a more costly option, but can be a lifesaver for some).

By being proactive in checking your account settings, ensuring full policy compliance, and directly engaging Google Ads support with clear information, you increase your chances of finally breaking the re-verification cycle.
