In Meta Ads Manager, the "Contains any of" filter is a search operator that allows you to quickly find campaigns, ad sets, or ads whose names include at least one of the keywords you specify — without having to create separate filters for each keyword.
It works on a logical OR basis:
If you type multiple terms separated by commas (e.g., summer, sale, clearance), the filter will display all items that contain at least one of those terms in their name.
Meta doesn’t require all keywords to appear in the same name — finding just one match is enough to include that item in your results.
When to Use It
Seasonal Campaign Searches:
Quickly pull up campaigns for different events (e.g., “Valentine’s,” “Easter,” “Mother’s Day”) without filtering each one separately.
Multi-offer Tracking:
If you have promotions like “Free Shipping” or “20% Off” running across different ad sets, you can view all at once.
Organizing by Creative Theme:
For example, finding ads with either “UGC” or “Carousel” in the name to compare performance.
Difference From "Contains all of"
Contains any of → Returns items if one or more of your keywords are present.
Contains all of → Only returns items that have every keyword you entered in their name.
Example:
You enter:
summer, clearance, promo
Meta will show:
“Summer Sale – US”
“Clearance Event – EU”
“Promo Campaign – Q3”
“Winter Discounts” (no keyword match)
Pro Tips:
Use consistent naming conventions in campaigns so this filter becomes more powerful.
If you manage large accounts, pairing "Contains any of" with other filters (like date range or objective) helps narrow down data quickly.
Avoid overly generic terms that could bring in unrelated results.
