Seeing two different Google Ads IDs in your Google Ads Manager Account (MCC) isn’t unusual and it usually happens for one of the following reasons:
1. You Linked Two Separate Google Ads Accounts
Each individual Google Ads account has a unique 10-digit Customer ID. If you or your team added more than one ad account (intentionally or by accident), they will both appear under your MCC.
Example:
One ID may be for your Search campaigns,
Another could be an old account for a previous project or different brand segment.
What to do:
Go to each ID and check:
Tools & Settings → Preferences → Check account name, campaign history, billing info.
2. Your Client Gave You Access to Multiple IDs
If you're managing campaigns for multiple clients or a client has more than one ad account, you’ll see separate IDs for each one—even if they’re for the same business.
What to do:
Ask the client to confirm which account is actively in use, and which one (if any) can be unlinked.
3. An Account Was Accidentally Created Twice
Sometimes, during onboarding or testing, businesses accidentally create a duplicate account instead of linking to an existing one.
What to do:
Compare campaign names, billing setups, and historical data to identify the active one. Remove or pause the duplicate to avoid confusion.
4. You’re Viewing a Child Account and a Sub-Manager Account
In complex setups where one MCC manages other MCCs (also called sub-MCCs), you may see multiple account IDs that route to different management layers.
What to do:
Click each account and check if one is a Manager Account (you’ll see “This is a manager account” in the dashboard). This can help you understand the hierarchy.
5. You Were Granted Admin on Two Different Client Accounts
If two unrelated clients invited your MCC to manage their ads, you’ll see both IDs in your dashboard. This is expected behavior.
