Looker Studio Pro just rolled out a powerful feature in preview: the Code Interpreter. This tool allows marketers and analysts to ask questions in plain English, which are then translated into Python code and executed directly within Looker.
Here’s why it matters:
No need to write code manually – Just ask questions like “What’s the 3-month trend for ROAS across campaigns?”
Advanced analysis made simple – From charting and cohort reports to time series forecasting, the interpreter handles it.
Leverages Python, Which means better flexibility than traditional SQL-only BI tools.
Preview mode only – Currently available for Looker Studio Pro (not standard Studio) and disabled by default, but can be enabled.
This significantly expands the value of Conversational Analytics, making deep insights accessible even to non-technical teams.
If you're using Looker Studio Pro, enable the Code Interpreter under settings and start testing queries like:
"Show average daily conversion rate by device for the past 90 days."
…and let the interpreter handle the rest.
