The official, permanent solution usually involves getting access to Meta Rights Manager and whitelisting your own ad account.
The Official Solution: Whitelisting Your Account
This is a multi-step process, and it's the only reliable way to ensure your ads are never muted for copyright.
Step 1: Request Access to Meta Rights Manager
Go to Business Settings in your Meta Business Manager.
Under the "Brands & Safety" section, click on "Rights Manager."
If you don't have access, you'll need to request it. Meta will ask you to fill out an application and provide proof that you own the rights to the music (e.g., a link to your release on a platform, your distributor's confirmation, etc.).
Step 2: Submit Your Audio Content
Once your application is approved and you have access, go to Rights Manager and "Add new content."
You will be able to upload your audio file (the full song or album) and enter the metadata (artist, title, album, etc.). This is where you formally tell Meta, "I am the owner of this content."
Step 3: Whitelist Your Ad Account
After submitting your content, you will find the option to "Whitelist accounts."
Add your personal profile, your Business Manager, or the specific ad account you will be using to run the ads. This tells Meta’s system, "Do not mute or flag any audio from these specific sources that matches this song."
A Temporary Workaround (Not Recommended for Long-Term)
If you need to run your ads immediately and can't wait for Rights Manager approval, some creators use a temporary fix.
Edit the Audio Clip: Use a video editing tool to make a slight edit to your song clip for the ad. For example, add a quick intro fade, an abrupt cut, or add a short sound effect at the beginning. This can sometimes prevent Meta's Content ID system from getting a 100% match on the audio file, allowing the ad to run without being muted.
Be aware: This is a gamble and not a guaranteed solution. Meta's system is constantly improving, and it may eventually flag the ad anyway.
For long-term peace of mind and to build a reliable advertising channel, the only surefire way is to go through the official Rights Manager process. It can be slow, so start the application as soon as possible.
