Whenever you make major edits to your listing like rewriting your title, bullet points, or description. Amazon’s system doesn’t just update the text. It actually runs a re-validation check on your ASIN to make sure your new content still matches the right product type.
Here’s where things go wrong:
if your new keywords overlap with other categories (say you add words like “pad,” or “cover,”), the algorithm can get confused and quietly reassign your product type during that process. Suddenly, your product isn’t showing up where it used to or your ads stop running.
