How to Re-enable Manual Campaign Setup in Meta Ads

  1. Create a New Campaign:

    • Select either the Sales or Leads objective.

  2. Access the Ad Set Level:

    • Proceed to the Ad Set stage of your campaign setup.

  3. Modify Audience Settings:

    • Scroll to the Audience section.

    • Click on the gear icon labeled “Further limit the reach of your ads.”

    • A prompt will appear warning that switching to manual targeting may limit your audience. Confirm by clicking “Switch setup.”

  4. Adjust Default Targeting Options:

    • After switching, Meta may still have certain AI-driven settings enabled by default:

      • Age and Gender Targeting: Set to “Use as a suggestion,” allowing Meta to go beyond your specified parameters.

  5. Set Budget Preferences:
